Swordsman

Steel discipline. Front-line specialist.

STRVITAGI Sword, Two-handed Sword, Spear, ShieldPvE · APvP · S
// BRIEFING

The Swordsman is the most beginner-friendly path in ROX:NG. High HP, plate armor, and balanced damage make it forgiving for new players. It branches into Knight for raw striking power or Crusader for tankier, party-supportive play, and ultimately scales into Dragon Knight or Royal Guard at the 4th-job tier.

Job Path Details

2nd Job

Knight

Single-target striker
Two-handed Sword, Spear

The pure DPS branch. Knights trade some sustain for raw striking power, gaining mounted Peco Peco mobility and one of the strongest single-target combos in the early meta.

↳ play_pattern

Charge in mounted, plant a stun with Bowling Bash, follow up with Spiral Pierce for boss-class damage.

Crusader

Holy tank / hybrid support
Spear, One-handed Sword + Shield

Holy-flavored bruiser with Heal, party buffs, and Devotion to redirect damage from allies. Lower personal damage than Knight but unmatched survivability.

↳ play_pattern

Lead the front line, Shield Boomerang into the pack, then chain Devotion onto the squishy DPS.

3rd Job

Lord Knight

Two-handed berserker
Two-handed Sword, Spear

The Knight ascended. Adds Aura Blade for raw weapon-damage scaling and Spiral Pierce buffs that punch through Large-size enemies.

↳ play_pattern

Open with Frenzy/Berserk, stack Aura Blade, and burst priority targets in a single rotation.

Paladin

Holy bruiser / WoE wall
Spear, One-handed Sword + Shield

Crusader's upgrade. Gains Sacrifice, Shield Chain, and Gospel — the iconic guild-wide buff. Defines the front line of any organized WoE party.

↳ play_pattern

Plant Devotion on the carry, cycle Sacrifice for sustain, and uptime Gospel for free party damage.

4th Job

Dragon Knight

Dragon-mounted bruiser
Two-handed Sword, Spear

Lord Knight evolved. Trades the Peco for a dragon mount and gains Dragon Breath — a percent-HP scaling AoE that wrecks fortified targets.

↳ play_pattern

Ride in, drop Dragon Breath on the cluster, finish stragglers with Hundred Spear.

Royal Guard

Guildwide protector
Spear, Lance

Paladin's pinnacle. Gains Banding (group buff stacking) and Overbrand for spear-based AoE — best-in-class group-fight identity.

↳ play_pattern

Anchor the Banding circle, soak focus fire, Overbrand-wipe anyone who steps into your line.
